Amy Blashe - Language Arts and World Language
I live in Ripon with my husband, Jim and our two children, Jack and Ellie. I love spending time outdoors especially hiking, camping, and taking photographs. I also love crocheting. I make mostly hats which I donate to Knots of Love - a charity that sends caps to cancer and veteran centers across the US. Of course, I am also an avid reader. Some of my favorite books are Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Miss Peregrine’s Home.
I graduated from UW-Superior with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Broadfield Language Arts.
I worked several years as a certified pharmacy technician, but also spent my time working with autistic children and volunteering with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. When my son was 18 months old, I decided it was time to return to school and complete my degree in education.
As a teacher, one of my biggest goals is to help students become lifelong learners through a love of curiosity, exploration, and of course reading!
